Accommodation near to the convention venue:
We are delighted to see that so many singers will be coming to sing with us in Hamburg in May, and we are keen to host as many of you as we can in our private apartments or with friends. However, Sacred Harp Hamburg is still a small group and, despite our best efforts, it may not be possible to host everyone. With that in mind, we have looked to provide other options for your stay in Hamburg. We have, for example, decided to book an entire floor of the Kiezbude Hostel, which is located just behind the Reeperbahn. This means that we have 5 rooms, each with 4 beds, at our disposal, at a cost of 73 euros per person for all 3 nights. If you would prefer to use this option, please think about who you would like to share a room with and let us know as quickly as possible.
We have also found a few reasonably cheap apartments nearby and would be happy to help arrange bookings for small groups who want to stay together.

Here are a few other good value places to stay:
Hotel Motel One Am Michel (book early; it's always full)
Hotel Michaelishof (right next door to the St Michaelis)
Superbude Hostel (hostel with a good reputation)
Youth Hostel (cheap, near the venue and good location overlooking the harbour)
Hotel Commodore (old-school plush - seems very comfortable and inexpensive)
Pyjama Park Sternschanze (trendy hostel - a bit further away but near where I live)
These are just a few of the relatively inexpensive options. Of course, there are many more options in Hamburg. However, the city is quite expensive and, in most cases, one has to book very early to stand any chance of getting a bed.
